Thomas Harold Messer served as a beacon of light and a pillar of strength for decades through his tireless work in Youth Ministry for the Lewis Street Church of Christ, Colonel Glenn Church of Christ, and the Arkansas State Youth Conference. His dedication and commitment have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him.

In his many roles as a great teacher, singer, leader, confidant, brother, prayer warrior, soldier of the cross, motivator, inspiration, and mentor, Thomas impacted scores of young people, guiding them with wisdom and grace. His legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire future generations.

Thomas Messer was the first recipient of the prestigious Wind Beneath My Wings Award in 2014, an honor given to those who have made dedicated sacrifices and rendered exceptional service toward the success of the Arkansas State Youth Conference. This award stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment and unparalleled contributions.

The Arkansas State Youth Conference will henceforth associate his name with this accolade, now known as the Thomas H. Messer Wind Beneath My Wings Award. Through this, his spirit and dedication will live on, continuing to uplift and inspire all who participate in our endeavors.
